Risk Disclosure
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This Risk Disclosure explains important risks and limitations relating to Cosmos (try-cosmos.com) and to prediction-market activity generally. It supplements, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Please read it carefully. By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept the matters set out below.
1. Information Only - Not Advice
Cosmos provides data, analytics, scores, and commentary for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on the Service is, or should be construed as, financial, investment, trading, legal, accounting, or tax advice, or a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to enter into any transaction. You are solely responsible for your own decisions and their consequences.
2. Prediction Markets Are High-Risk
Participating in prediction markets is speculative and involves a high degree of risk, including the risk of losing the entire amount you commit. Outcomes are uncertain, prices can move rapidly, and liquidity may be limited. You should never commit funds you cannot afford to lose.
3. No Guarantee of Accuracy or Results
The Service relies on algorithms, heuristics, statistical models, and third-party data that may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Signals and scores are probabilistic estimates, not statements of fact, and may be wrong. We do not guarantee that any signal, score, label, or output is accurate, complete, timely, or suitable for any purpose, and we do not guarantee any particular result. Any reliance you place on the Service is at your own risk.
4. Past Performance Is Not Indicative
Any historical results, track records, win rates, or example outcomes shown on the Service are illustrative only. Past performance is not a guarantee of, and does not predict, future results. Results may be selected, reconstructed, or simplified for presentation and should not be relied upon as representative of future performance.
5. About the Term "Insider"
The Service analyzes publicly available, on-chain trading activity and uses terms such as "insider," "smart money," or similar labels to describe patterns that its models consider notable. These labels are analytical characterizations of public data and are not assertions of fact, allegations of wrongdoing, accusations of illegal conduct, or statements about the identity, intentions, or knowledge of any person. You must not treat them as such or rely on them to make accusations against any individual.
6. Regulatory and Jurisdictional Restrictions
Prediction markets and related activity are regulated differently across jurisdictions and may be restricted, licensed, or prohibited where you live. Third-party platforms, including Polymarket, may be unavailable to, or prohibited for, residents or persons of certain jurisdictions (including, in some cases, persons in the United States). You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service and of any third-party platform is lawful in your jurisdiction, and for complying with all applicable laws, including tax laws.
7. Third-Party Platform and Technology Risk
The Service depends on third-party platforms, data sources, blockchains, wallets, and infrastructure that we do not control. These may experience outages, errors, forks, exploits, smart-contract failures, or changes that affect the availability or accuracy of the Service. Digital assets and on-chain transactions carry additional risks, including volatility, irreversibility, and loss of access.
7a. Automated Trading Risk
If you enable automated trading, software places real orders with real money on your own account, without asking you first. You are responsible for every trade it makes. In addition to ordinary market risk, automated execution can lose money through software defects, incorrect or stale signals, mispriced orders, network and exchange outages, unexpected market conditions, and security incidents.
You should understand the following before enabling it:
- Stopping the bot does not close your positions. Disabling trading stops new orders; anything already open stays open and continues to gain or lose value until it is closed or the market resolves. Closing positions is your responsibility.
- Safety controls limit some behaviour, not losses. Our risk limits, price checks, and independent second approval are designed to prevent malformed, oversized, or badly-priced orders. They do not and cannot prevent a well-formed trade from losing money.
- We may halt trading without notice. If we detect a suspected fault or compromise, we may stop signing orders for some or all accounts immediately. This can leave positions open that you would have preferred to close, and may itself cause loss.
- Cosmos Cloud does not give us your funds, but it does place trades. We cannot withdraw or transfer your money, but orders we place on your behalf can reduce your balance through losses. You can revoke our access at any time with your passkey.
- Copying other traders is not a strategy that must work. Following another account's trades reproduces their losses as readily as their gains, later than they entered, and without knowing their reasons, position size, hedges, or when they will exit.
Only enable automated trading with money you can afford to lose entirely.
8. Affiliate Disclosure
Cosmos may earn affiliate or referral compensation when you sign up for or use third-party services through our links. This may create an incentive for us to feature those services. It does not change the analytical output of the Service, and it does not increase the cost to you. See our Terms of Service for more detail.
9. Do Your Own Research
Always conduct your own independent research and, where appropriate, consult qualified, licensed professionals before making any decision. Do not act solely on the basis of any content provided through the Service.
10. No Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cosmos accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service, as further described in the disclaimers and limitations of liability in our Terms of Service.
