Cosmos API Policy

This Cosmos API Policy governs your use of the Cosmos API and the Cosmos trading bot (together, the "API"). It supplements, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service and Risk Disclosure. By generating an API token, deploying the bot, or sending any request to the API, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the API.

1. What the API does

The Cosmos API lets you run an automated bot that places orders on Polymarket on your behalf, based on Cosmos signals and the settings you choose (sources, score, tier, take-profit, stop-loss, and trade sizing). The bot acts only on the configuration you set. Cosmos provides the signals and the relay; it does not decide what is right for you.

2. Your keys and your funds (self-custody)

The bot runs on infrastructure you control (for example, your own Render account) using your own Polymarket wallet and private key. Your private key and your funds never leave your environment and are never transmitted to, stored by, or accessible to Cosmos. Cosmos cannot move, withdraw, or freeze your funds. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your key, your server, and your account credentials.

3. Eligibility and access

API access is available to eligible, approved accounts (the Gold plan or the bot add-on, and admins). Access is granted through per-account API tokens. Your token is a secret that authenticates requests as you - treat it like a password, never share or publish it, and revoke and replace it immediately if it is exposed. You are responsible for all activity under your tokens.

4. Fees

Cosmos charges a builder fee of 0.9% of each trade's filled volume, collected automatically through Polymarket's builder-fee mechanism at the time of the trade. There is no separate subscription, invoice, or card charge for use of the API itself. You are separately responsible for any third-party costs you incur, including the cost of the server you run the bot on and any Polymarket or network fees.

5. No advice; you are responsible

Cosmos is an analytics and automation tool, not a broker, exchange, investment adviser, or fiduciary. Nothing provided through the API is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. The bot executes the strategy you configure; you are solely responsible for your settings, your trades, and their outcomes.

6. Risk

Automated trading on prediction markets is high-risk and can result in the total loss of the funds you deploy. Signals are probabilistic estimates that may be wrong, markets can move or resolve against you, and software, networks, and third-party services can fail or be delayed. Past or modeled performance does not predict future results. Prediction markets may be restricted or unavailable in your jurisdiction; you are responsible for ensuring your use is lawful where you are. See the Risk Disclosure for more.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the API for any unlawful purpose or in any restricted jurisdiction; share, resell, or sublicense your access or tokens; attempt to exceed, evade, or attack rate limits or other controls; reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the API or its infrastructure; run more bots or accounts than permitted; or interfere with other users. Cosmos may apply rate limits and other technical limits at its discretion.

8. Availability and liability

The API is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. Because the bot runs on your own server, Cosmos does not guarantee uptime, execution, fills, latency, or that any particular trade will be placed or filled. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cosmos is not liable for trading losses, missed or delayed trades, slippage, server or network downtime, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the API.

9. Suspension and termination

Cosmos may revoke tokens, suspend, or terminate API access at any time - including for violation of this Policy or the Terms, suspected abuse or fraud, or to protect the service or other users. You may stop using the API and revoke your tokens at any time.

10. Changes

Cosmos may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and your continued use of the API after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
